for Individuals and Couples

(Scroll down for information about Decision Coaching for Couples)

Whether you are facing an important decision, or you are simply asking yourself, “What do I really want to do with the rest of my life?”, I offer decision coaching that will get you to where you really want to be.

As a result of decision coaching:

  • You will determine what you want most, recognize what’s holding you back, and then move ahead with momentum, clarity and confidence.
  • You will have a greater sense of purpose and direction in your life.
  • You will avoid many of the pitfalls and uncertainties associated with major decision making.
  • You will be prepared to implement your decision with a stress-free and positive frame of mind.
  • You will improve your ability to make significant decisions in the future.
  • You will sleep again at night!

I will guide you through the five steps of the decision-making process at your own pace. When you’re ready, you’ll send me your responses to each of the five modules through your secure and confidential Private Client Portal. Then, at the end of each of the five modules, we will schedule a coaching call in which you’ll receive personal, best practice decision coaching.

These are the five steps:

  •  Explore what it is you want most.
  •  Get in touch with whatever might be holding you back.
  •  Engage your imagination to “try on” possibilities.
  •  Suspend the choosing of one alternative over another until you have determined which one is most authentic, truest to you.
  •  Choose the best option for you from among all of the good possibilities.

Decision Coaching For Couples

Making important decisions can be difficult for anyone, but when a couple needs to make a mutual decision, the challenge becomes even greater.

I offer a proven, five-part decision coaching process for couples who are dating, engaged, married or otherwise closely associated with each other.

Often these couples are facing a significant decision, such as: Where shall we live? Should we have another child? What faith tradition shall we practice? Should we start a business together? When should we retire?

But sometimes it’s not a big decision that they’re facing as much as a desire to be more intentional about the purpose and direction of their lives together. They have a sense of where they want to be as a couple but are struggling to find the way to get there. They fear making a mistake at this point in their lives. Even more, they fear the uncertainty of how the decision might change their relationship.

Does this sound like you? Let’s talk!

Benefits of Decision Coaching For Couples

  • You will determine what you want most as a couple, recognize what’s holding you back, and then move ahead with momentum, clarity and confidence.
  • You will have a greater sense of purpose and direction in your life together.
  • You will avoid many of the pitfalls and uncertainties associated with major decision making.
  • You will be prepared to implement your decision with a stress-free and positive frame of mind.
  • You will improve your ability to make significant decisions together in the future.
  • You will deepen your relationship as a couple.
  • You will both sleep again at night!

How It Works

It’s a self-paced, step-by-step process. You’ll complete the first part of each online module completely on your own. Then you’ll share your responses with each other as a couple, looking for things that are common or compatible. When you’re ready, you’ll send me your lists of responses. Then, after each of the five modules, we schedule coaching sessions in which you both participate in person (if local), by speakerphone or by videoconference.

The goal in decision coaching (or discernment coaching) as a couple is that you both have a sense of rightness and peace with the decision. The process is intended to bring you both to a place of unity, peace and affirmation about the choice. The all-important question is, “How will the decision impact us as a couple?”

What They’re Saying

This is what Hannah and Andrew from Pasadena said about their experience with decision coaching as a couple:

“When we got married we promised each other that we would live intentionally about how we spend our time, where we put our energy, and in our relationships. We now have 3 kids and we both work outside the home. By the end of the day we were exhausted and had no energy to talk about our hopes and dreams. We both wanted more but were so bogged down and on autopilot that we had a hard time connecting with one another about our desires.

As a result of coaching, I made the decision to leave a job that was emotionally draining in order to devote more time and energy to building my business. My husband got more clarity about what he wanted in his career as well. Now we are going on more dates as a couple and are having more fun together with our kids. Most importantly, as we went through the process, God created more space for us, giving us the time and energy to connect with one another.

Our favorite part of decision coaching as a couple was having a framework, rooted in Ignatian spirituality, to discuss our lives and desires. We really enjoyed composing our lists of desires and then sharing them with each other. It was eye opening!”

In this 15-minute, no obligation coaching consultation you’ll learn how coaching can help you achieve your goals faster and with greater confidence. Before our call, you’ll receive thought-provoking questions that serve as the basis for our coaching session. Many find that this alone helps them make significant progress.

By the end of the session you’ll have a good idea if coaching is right for you. If it is, you’ve already taken the first step!
