Make this the best Christmas ever. How? By starting with Advent.

I invite you to prepare, not just your home, but you for Christmas by embracing the holy season of Advent with daily prayers and reflections inspired by the rich spiritual traditions of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

Hello. I’m Luke Larson, a spiritual director and Ignatian retreat director. I’ve created this online retreat called Light of Life, a four-week journey through the Advent themes of hope, longing, joy and peace. I invite you to join us from wherever you are. This retreat is for busy people who want do-able prayer periods (20-30 minutes a day) and who are interested in sharing their spiritual journey with an experienced spiritual director.

Sign up now for Your Spiritual Direction Session for just $55 and get the Advent Retreat for FREE.

When you sign up, you will receive:

  • A private, one-to-one, 45-minute spiritual direction session by phone, video chat, or in person, if you are nearby.
  • Full online access to the daily retreat materials throughout December 2019.
  • A step-by-step progression of prayers that include Scripture readings, guided meditations, and points for reflection inspired by the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola.
  • Retreat resources, practical ways to observe Advent, tips on how to start and structure a faith sharing group, and much more.
  • The option to connect with me through private online postings as much or as little as you would like. I may not be able to respond to each of your postings but I will read them and I will pray along with you throughout the retreat.

Consider making the retreat as a couple, with family, or with a faith sharing group.

The wonderful thing about this at-home Advent retreat is that you get to choose your prayer times whenever and wherever they are best for you – perhaps with your morning coffee, during your lunch break, or in the evening after the kids have gone to bed.

Well, another wonderful thing is that it gives you the chance to experience spiritual direction, with no obligation to continue if it doesn’t feel right for you at this time.

It’s hard to come up with an excuse not to deepen your relationship with Jesus. So you may just want to give spiritual direction and this Advent retreat a try!

Week One Exercise 1 – From Above

Week Two Exercise 1 – Waiting On The Mountain

“This retreat gave me the time for spiritual reflection without the need to sequester myself somewhere for a month. The prayer exercises allowed me to begin each day with an overview and then the rest of the day was spent in reflection and consideration. The feedback loop on my comments, questions, and thoughts was very helpful in maintaining my focus. This retreat stretched me, as it should. I have grown in my spiritual life in many ways for having completed the retreat journey.”

“I’ve been a fan of Ignatian spirituality for a long time. I was in need of a boost in my spiritual life. I looked forward to sitting down with this retreat as my guide. The prayer at the beginning of each day is spot-on for how I was feeling. The imaginative prayers were my favorites. I eagerly anticipated how God might surprise me and speak to me through them. I appreciated the Scripture readings. And the questions were thought-provoking. I also felt like I had a friend, Luke Larson, holding my hand. I really felt his care and concern for me. I loved the entire retreat. Thank you, Luke, for what you gave to me. Thank you for this oasis in my life. Please continue to do what you do. I will definitely share my experience with others and encourage them to look into what you have to offer.”
